About the role
Job Summary
The Business Systems & Data Analyst serves as a key liaison between enterprise business operations and core systems such as JAMIS ERP, ADP, and other enterprise platforms. This role focuses on understanding business processes, database schemas, and application logic to ensure system configuration, reporting, and integrations align with operational and compliance requirements. The Analyst supports enterprise transformation and modernization initiatives by translating business requirements into effective system and data solutions.As with any VSolvit position, additional expectations exist. Some of these include, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), staying focused on assigned tasks, and completing other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business workflows and map requirements to system functionality within JAMIS ERP, ADP, and related enterprise applications
- Interpret database schemas, relationships, and embedded business rules across enterprise systems
- Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and system requirements
- Translate business needs into functional and technical documentation
- Support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting consistency across systems
- Assist with system enhancements, integrations, and modernization initiatives
- Ensure alignment between business logic, system configuration, and compliance requirements
- Serve as a subject matter resource for cross-functional teams implementing process and system improvements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Experience working with ERP, HR, payroll, or financial systems such as JAMIS, ADP, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of database concepts, schemas, and business logic
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government secret security clearance

- Experience supporting enterprise system modernization or transformation efforts
- Familiarity with government contracting, compliance, or audit environments
- Experience supporting system integrations and data reporting initiatives
