About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading AI research firm, is seeking highly analytical Mathematics Experts to contribute to advanced large language model (LLM) training and evaluation initiatives. In this remote role, you will design rigorous mathematical problems to test and improve AI systems’ reasoning capabilities across undergraduate to PhD-level Mathematics topics. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Mathematics, analytical reasoning, and next-generation AI systems, all while contributing to high-quality datasets for AI.
What You’ll Do as a Mathematics Expert
- Design and solve challenging mathematics problems to test AI reasoning limits.
- Develop clear, step-by-step, logically rigorous solutions.
- Identify model weaknesses in areas such as abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and symbolic manipulation.
- Collaborate with researchers to define new AI evaluation benchmarks.
- Provide detailed annotations and structured feedback.
- Contribute to high-quality datasets spanning early undergraduate to PhD-level mathematics.

- Strong foundation in engineering entrance exam and graduate-level Mathematics.
- Ability to break down complex mathematical concepts into clear, simple explanations.
- Experience teaching, tutoring, grading, or developing advanced problem sets.
Engagement Details
This is an independent contractor role (no medical/paid leave) with flexible commitment options of 20, 30, or 40 hours per week. A minimum requirement of 4 hours per day with a 4-hour PST overlap is expected. There is potential for contract extension based on performance.
