Role Statement
The Counter Sales role involves greeting, assisting, and servicing all customers to provide an exceptional experience. You will use your basic product knowledge to help answer questions and recommend appropriate items for customers' projects.
Outcomes for Success
- Answer customer questions and assist with product selection.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Provide small project estimates and upsell additional lines.
- Process orders, payments, returns and assist with large quotes.
- Maintain a clean showroom and accurate inventory records.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Assist with customer challenges such as credits and exchanges.
- Apply basic construction methods knowledge.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements
- Minimum education: High School or equivalent
- 1-2 years sales experience preferred but not required
- Teamwork and effective communication skills
- Good understanding of contractor sales process
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Point of Sale Programs
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and operate while bending or standing on a stool. It involves occasional exertion of up to 20 pounds, extended periods of walking or standing, and sometimes up to 80 pounds of force.
Wages
Starting wages will be based on years of experience and education.
