Role Statement

Assist customers with yard material. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, and stocking materials in the lumber yard and warehouse, while maintaining a safe work environment.

Outcomes for Success

• Greet customers and assess their invoiced needs
• Direct customers to materials and assist with safe loading
• Coordinate with sales and yard teams for prompt service
• Verify loaded materials against invoices for accuracy
• Pull and bundle loads safely for delivery
• Develop product knowledge and differentiate similar items
• Operate forklifts and light trucks after proper training
• Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately
• Use a radial arm and panel saw to cut materials as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Physical ability to perform job tasks, including heavy work
• 1-3 months experience preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not necessary

Physical Requirements

Includes heavy work, occasional stooping or kneeling, climbing, balancing, and minimal sitting during forklift operation.
