Executes end-to-end procurement activities for assigned project scopes with increasing independence. Ensures materials, outsourced components, and vendor services are purchased in alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.Essential Responsibilities
- Manages moderate-complexity procurement packages independently.
- Regular negotiation responsibility.
- Interprets and applies category strategies.
- Identifies basic risks and escalates appropriately.
- Accountable for achieving defined annual cost-savings targets through negotiation and strategic sourcing. Performance against these targets will be evaluated year over year.
- Acts as procurement liaison for defined project scopes including third-party services and outsourcing.
- Issues RFQs/RFPs for both materials and third-party services, organizes supplier responses, and leads basic bid evaluations.
- Works with engineering and PMs to validate requirements.
- Develops POs that include necessary drawings, specifications, vendor services agreements/SOWs and terms.
- Manages orders cradle-to-grave: confirmations, expediting, changes, delivery, and invoice closure.
- Resolves routine supplier or delivery issues.
- Contributes to vendor qualification and category strategy initiatives.
- Prepares procurement status reports, spend summaries, and risk updates.
- Leads supplier negotiations to drive measurable commercial value, consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual savings targets.
- Tracks, documents, and reports savings monthly and annually, with performance evaluated year over year as part of the formal performance cycle.
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years procurement experience in manufacturing or similar field.
- Strong understanding of competitive bidding and supplier management.
- Demonstrated cost analysis ability.
- ERP/MRP required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPSM/CIPS a plus.
