Job Description

Medical Science Liaison

Tailor&Fox, a HeadHunting company, is seeking on behalf of a significant international pharmaceutical company operating in oncology, the following professional figure:

The Medical Science Liaison, reporting to the Medical Manager, will be responsible for developing and consolidating scientific relationships with the medical community. This includes fostering a correct understanding of the product portfolio and supporting its appropriate use in approved indications, in full compliance with current regulations and internal procedures. This role is predominantly field-based (approximately 80% activity).

Main Responsibilities

  • Support pre-launch and launch activities for new products in the oncology field.
  • Map and segment the assigned territory, identifying accounts and clinicians with the highest scientific potential.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, developing scientific opportunities (publications, presentations, local and regional meetings).
  • Organize scientific meetings, departmental sessions, and Advisory Boards.
  • Support early access programs and the follow-up of sponsored clinical studies and approved Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS).
  • Provide continuous scientific training to the field team.
  • Gather and share scientific insights with the international medical department.
  • Manage medical information requests through dedicated company tools.
  • Participate in national and, if required, international congresses as a medical representative.

Requirements

  • Degree in scientific disciplines (pursuant to L. 219/2006).
  • Experience in an MSL, Medical Affairs, or Product Specialist role.
  • Solid scientific background.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present scientific data.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language.
  • Availability for frequent travel.
  • Experience in oncology considered a plus.

Required residency: Lazio. Competence zones: Lazio, Umbria, Toscana, Sicilia, and Sardegna.
