We’re looking for a New York-based student or early-career photographer to support our marketing efforts by capturing high-quality photos of our top venues. This is a freelance, ad-hoc opportunity, perfect for someone who wants flexible, project-based work alongside studies or other commitments. You’ll visit selected venues across New York to photograph spaces and deliver professionally edited images that showcase them at their best.Responsibilities
- Visit assigned venues across New York to conduct photoshoots
- Independently communicate with venues to arrange photoshoot dates, confirm access, and coordinate logistics
- Keep clear and proactive communication with the Tagvenue team regarding scheduling, availability, and delivery
- Capture high-quality, well-composed photos that highlight the venue’s atmosphere, layout, and key features
- Manage shoots independently and work efficiently on-site
- Edit and deliver final images according to Tagvenue’s visual standards and within agreed timelines
What we’re looking for
- Based in New York with easy access to travel across the city
- Own photography equipment (camera, lenses, lighting if needed)
- Experience in photography, ideally place, interior, architectural, or event photography
- Strong photo editing skills, with your own access to tools like Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar software
- Good eye for composition, lighting, and detail
- Good communication skills and confidence working directly with venue teams
- Reliability and ability to meet deadlines
- Comfortable working independently
- Portfolio showcasing relevant work
- Student or recent graduate in photography, media, or related field (Nice-to-have)
- Experience shooting commercial spaces or real estate (Nice-to-have)
- Basic understanding of branding or marketing photography (Nice-to-have)
