IFS Application Architect – IFS v10 to IFS Cloud 25 Upgrade
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced IFS Application Architect to lead the end‑to‑end upgrade of our IFS v10 on‑premise environment to IFS Cloud (version 25). This role requires deep technical expertise in IFS ERP architecture, Oracle databases, AWS cloud deployment, and highly customized Commercial + Military configurations.
The ideal candidate has direct, hands‑on experience performing major IFS upgrades, including schema modernization, customizations migration, integration testing, performance tuning, regression validation, and production cutover.
This system supports Military Spares operations, including warehouse management, material planning, order processing, PBL/COI contract execution, and repair tracking through external vendors and NAS depot workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the IFS v10 → IFS Cloud 25 Upgrade: Develop and execute the full upgrade strategy, including assessment, gap analysis, compatibility review, migration sequencing, testing, and go‑live planning.
- Evaluate IFS customizations, extensions, lobby configurations, events, and integrations for Cloud compatibility.
- Plan and oversee the uplift of the Oracle database layer and middleware components supporting the upgrade.
- System Architecture & Cloud Deployment: Design the target‑state IFS Cloud architecture in AWS (Aviation Central Vault – US, Cincinnati GOV Hill Vault).
- Ensure compliance with governance, cybersecurity, and DoD‑relevant requirements.
- Guide implementation of high‑availability, DR, and data retention practices in the cloud.
- Military & Commercial Customization Support: Assess existing military-specific customizations and business rules to ensure compatibility with IFS Cloud’s standardized data model.
- Map PBL & COI contract workflows, warehouse operations, and repair‑cycle tracking into the upgraded IFS Cloud processes.
- Work with cross-functional teams to rationalize or retire legacy modifications.
