Role Overview: Senior Open Source Engineer
You will work under the Technical Lead Manager (Open Source Engineering) to build new technology for Falco, its libraries, ecosystem tools, and other open source projects such as OSS Sysdig, StratoShark, and Wireshark. Your responsibilities include contributing and maintaining these projects, engaging with users to fix bugs, and growing community adoption through support, event speaking, and content creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance components within Falco and related open source projects.
- Contribute code and maintain open source projects.
- Partner with users to resolve issues and implement improvements.
- Engage with the community via events, talks, and blogs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong understanding of system and network security, Linux internals, eBPF, Containers, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in performance optimization, memory safety, and large-scale data processing.
- Expertise in developer advocacy, community building, or related DevRel activities.
- Proven contributions to open source software projects.
- Proficient in C/C++, Golang, or Rust.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
