Syracuse University Campus Dining is hosting an upcoming hiring event and is seeking motivated job seekers interested in full-time, part-time and on-call roles across the unit. We are hiring across Campus Dining, Campus Culinary, Campus Catering, Dome Concessions, and Dome Operations. These roles support daily campus food services and large-scale athletic and special event operations. Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous food service, hospitality, retail, or operations experience helpful
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event days as needed
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to required limits
- Be able to work on your feet for the duration of a shift.
- Reliable transportation is a must, buses may not run late enough for some shifts.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities: (varies based on position)
- Deliver exceptional customer service to guests at sporting events, concerts, and campus functions
- Assist with food and beverage service, including serving, running food, bartending, and guest support
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
- Supervise and coordinate staff to ensure efficient daily operations and compliance with policies and safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (culinary, operations, logistics, and administration) to support event and dining success
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support dining, catering, and event operations
- Provide excellent customer service to students, guests, and event attendees
- Assist with catering setup, service, and breakdown
- Operate concession stands during athletic and special events
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
- Support supervisors and managers with daily operations
- Follow all food safety, workplace safety, and university policies
- For management roles: oversee staff, scheduling, training, and operational efficiency
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to repeatedly lift at least 45 lbs. to waist height or higher.
- Must be able to walk/stand for several hours at a time throughout the shift.
- Must be able to perform extensive bending and flexing at the waist.
- Must be able to repeatedly rotate (twist and turn) head and torso.
- Must be able to frequently and repeatedly squat or stoop to the ground as necessary to complete tasks.
- Must be able to reach arms overhead.
- May be exposed to products used for cleaning and maintenance of the facility.
