Summary

As a Software Testing Co-Op, Mechanical/Aerospace, your primary focus will be on comprehensive testing activities, complemented by select development tasks that bolster the overall testing effort. You will support our Design Business Unit in testing new features for our design and modeling products. This involves ensuring product requirements and quality standards are met, and assessing how effectively the product addresses customer needs in terms of functionality and usability.

This co-op position starts in May 2026 and concludes in December 2026, making it an 8-month term. Please confirm your university's requirements for this duration before applying.

Responsibilities

• Testing, development, and quality assurance of software products like Discovery and SpaceClaim.
• Conduct interactive and automated testing of user interfaces and simulation results.
• Investigate and track defects in production code.
• Develop and maintain regression tests.
• Develop tools to automate testing infrastructure, processes, and tools.
• Learn and employ best practices for quality assurance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and planning to return to the program after completing the 8-month term.
• Good understanding and experience with C#, C++, and Python.
• Knowledge and interest in software testing methodologies and/or EDA tools.
• Knowledge of CAD modeling and software.
• Demonstrated team player, responsible, passionate, and motivated.

Preferred Qualifications

• Legacy ANSYS software experience.
• Demonstrable experience in software development and testing.
