The Role of a Managing Data Migration Consultant

We are actively seeking talented and highly motivated individuals to join our global team, dedicated to delivering critical data projects to clients worldwide. As a Managing Data Migration Consultant at Syniti, you will be responsible for leading a team of lead data migration consultants and data migration developers across all facets of a data migration project. Your role will also involve direct collaboration with functional consultants and key customer stakeholders, facilitating workshops to gather requirements and ensure comprehensive coverage of all in-scope conversion objects by your team. You will be instrumental in developing and ensuring the entire team executes against a project plan, created in partnership with the customer PMO, while consistently meeting both customer and Syniti delivery standards. As a leader within a Syniti Data Migration team, you will implement best practices for successful business transformation and become proficient in utilizing the most powerful platform to address all of our customer’s data needs.

What You Will Do

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Syniti’s Data Migration methodology.
• Exhibit strong proficiency in Syniti’s tools, adhering to prescribed development standards.
• Possess a good understanding of business processes for one or more assigned functional areas, with the ability to quickly assimilate knowledge in new domains.
• Effectively manage a complete team of data migration consultants, ensuring assigned responsibilities align with the overall project plan.
• Ensure all team members are developing data migration rules and reports within Syniti’s tools as per supplied specifications.
• Contribute significantly to ongoing project planning with the customer PMO, taking full responsibility for accurately accounting for all data-related activities.
• Author, maintain, and provide all necessary strategy documentation.
• Clearly communicate weekly status updates to Syniti Team Leadership and customer PMO.
• Ensure all administrative tasks related to staffing, forecasting, and reporting are completed promptly to meet customer and Syniti requirements.
• Support and mentor junior colleagues, fostering their professional growth.

What It Takes

• Degree-level qualification in Computer Science or another technology-related field.
• Extensive experience in ETL, Data Migration, Data Quality, and Data Analysis.
• Proven experience in managing resources to achieve a collective goal or responsibility.
• PMP background and/or certification.
• Functional ERP experience.
• Project experience across multiple ERP implementations.
• Database expertise, including SQL Server and Oracle.
• Exceptional customer-facing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 100% according to project requirements.
