Job Responsibilities
As a Medical Writing Manager - Publications, you will be instrumental in the planning, development, and execution of high-quality scientific publications. While specific duties may vary, typical responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing the medical writing process for various publication types, including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations.
- Ensuring all publication activities adhere to industry guidelines such as ICMJE and GPP3, as well as company and client standard operating procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical development, biostatistics, medical affairs, and external authors.
- Providing strategic input on publication plans and scientific communication initiatives.
- Reviewing and editing complex scientific documents for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
- Mentoring junior medical writers and contributing to their professional development.
- Managing timelines, budgets, and resources for assigned publication projects.

Salary Range
The anticipated base salary range for this Medical Writing Manager - Publications position at Syneos Health is $95,000.00 - $175,700.00. Actual salary will be determined by various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
