Synechron is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing for a large-scale Cards Migration program, encompassing credit, debit, and prepaid cards. This pivotal role involves defining comprehensive test strategies, managing complex test phases, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and delivering a high-quality migration with minimal customer disruption across diverse channels and geographies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Test Manager, you will be instrumental in several critical areas:

• Test Strategy & Governance: Define and own the overarching test strategy for cards migration, covering functional, integration, regression, performance, UAT, and cutover testing. Establish robust test governance, quality metrics, entry/exit criteria, and reporting mechanisms for senior stakeholders. Ensure full alignment with regulatory, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, data privacy, audit readiness).
• Migration & Domain-Specific Testing: Lead testing across the entire cards migration lifecycle, including card issuance, activation, authorization, clearing, settlement, and disputes. Oversee customer data migration and reconciliation, BIN migrations, and scheme certifications (Visa/Mastercard/Amex). Validate integrations with switch, processor, and host systems. Drive parallel run, data validation, and reconciliation strategies to achieve zero or minimal customer impact.
• Test Planning & Execution: Develop and manage detailed test plans, schedules, environments, and dependencies across multiple systems and vendors. Supervise system integration testing (SIT), UAT, and ensure production readiness for all migration waves. Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and proactive quality risk management.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Collaborate closely with business, product, technology, operations teams, and external vendors/processors. Coordinate with card schemes, payment processors, and third-party vendors for necessary certifications and testing sign-offs. Provide clear status reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to leadership.
• Team Leadership & Delivery: Lead and mentor both onshore and offshore test teams, ensuring the consistent application of high-quality standards. Drive test automation and efficiency initiatives for regression and migration validation. Support comprehensive cutover planning, go-live readiness, and post-migration validation activities.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years in Testing / Quality Engineering, with at least 3–5 years serving as a Test Manager on large-scale transformation programs.
• Strong experience within the Cards domain (Credit/Debit/Prepaid) and proven expertise in large-scale migration programs.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex, multi-system, high-risk migrations.

Domain & Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of cards processing flows, including authorization, clearing & settlement, disputes, and chargebacks.
• Experience with core banking systems, card management systems, payment switches, and processors.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, data privacy, and regulatory compliance within the payments industry.
• Familiarity with industry-standard test management tools such as Jira, ALM, Zephyr, and TestRail.

Leadership & Communication

• Strong stakeholder management and exceptional communication skills.
• Proven ability to make risk-based quality decisions under tight timelines.
• Experience working effectively in Agile / Hybrid delivery models.
