About The Role
Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Absence Claims Customer Liaison. In this role, you will manage claim relationships for national account size and complex group customers in collaboration with designated account managers. Responsibilities include handling inquiries, escalations, customer education and presentations, and proactively identifying customer needs.
What You'll Do In This Role
- Engage with national size and complex customers primarily for STD/absence claims.
- Provide direct access to the claims team and support key customer calls.
- Create and deliver customer reporting and insights.
- Partner with implementation teams to ensure positive customer onboarding.
- Collaborate with claims leaders to drive customer solutions and service delivery improvements.
- Attend or lead presentations and support training initiatives.

Compensation
Salary Range: $70,600 - $117,600 plus eligibility for an annual bonus program.
Remote employees must meet minimum internet speed requirements: 100 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload.
Who You Are
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of STD and Absence benefits including compliance standards.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
