What We Need

The Commissioning Team Lead will lead the Commissioning Specialists team during the commissioning of Symbotic robotic cells. As the key point of contact on customer sites, you will provide daily guidance, technical expertise, and customer support during project milestones. You will coordinate pre-commissioning and hands-off validation with installation, schedule team members and contractors, review performance, maintain site status KPIs, and prepare reports.

What We Do

The commissioning team ensures the successful deployment of robotic systems by overseeing integration, testing, and optimization phases. Collaborating closely with engineers and technicians, they troubleshoot, calibrate, and control quality to meet performance standards and customer requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in planning and coordinating the site commissioning schedule.
  • Prepare and present progress and performance reports.
  • Lead on-site commissioning activities and daily scrum meetings.
  • Coach and mentor site team members providing technical support.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and ensure safety compliance.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years leading automated commissioning teams.
  • Proficiency with PLC systems and HMI systems.
  • Experience with industrial robotics and industrial networking.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.

Our Environment

This is a remote, field-based position requiring up to 75% travel. Candidates must reside in one of our U.S. regions: East, Central, or West, and be prepared to work in challenging construction site conditions with appropriate PPE and safety protocols.
