What We Need
Symbotic is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support transportation and logistics execution for complex automation system delivery and after-sales operations. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining documentation, and ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials across domestic and international networks. The Logistics Specialist works with internal teams and external partners to support reliable logistics execution and customer delivery requirements in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
What We Do
At Symbotic, the Production Control team manages project-based planning and material execution for complex, customer-specific automation systems. This group oversees material coordination, supply execution, and logistics alignment to ensure materials and equipment are available when and where needed to support installation and commissioning. Production Control works closely with other Supply Chain teams, including Sourcing, Procurement, and Supplier partners, to align demand, supply, and execution across large-scale customer projects.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments to support project timelines and after-sales service requirements.
- Monitor shipments end-to-end, proactively identifying and mitigating delays, risks, and disruptions that could impact delivery.
- Partner with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation execution.
- Provide clear, timely shipment status updates and drive resolution of logistics-related issues impacting material flow.
- Prepare, review, and manage import/export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, etc.).
- Support compliance with trade regulations, Incoterms, and internal documentation standards.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and support logistics reporting, KPI tracking, and cost visibility initiatives.
- Support freight invoice reconciliation, conduct damage investigations and manage insurance claims, and audit the Transportation Management System to identify and correct process deviations.
- Contribute to process improvements, standard work development, and system enhancements across logistics operations.
- Support broader supply chain initiatives and take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
What You’ll Need
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation, shipping, or import/export coordination, ideally within an industrial or project-based environment.
- Working knowledge of international shipping processes, customs documentation, and Incoterms.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and shipment tracking tools (TMS).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams and external partners.
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
Our Environment
Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

Compensation & Benefits
The base range for this position is $71,000.00 - $97,900.00. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
