Administration Officer at Sydney Children's Hospitals Network
An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration Officer in the Department of Community Child Health at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick. This is a temporary part-time position (16 hours a week) until 30 June 2026 with a possibility of extension.
The Administration Officer will work closely with a range of health care professionals within the dynamic and innovative Community Child Health team, which provides clinical services and various innovative community programs to vulnerable children and their families.
The role is varied and entails providing support for the day-to-day administrative functions of the department, including assisting the team in their clinical roles.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Administration Officer, you will provide essential secretarial and administrative services to the Department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the team in their clinical roles, such as scheduling appointments and transcription typing of clinical letters.
- Answering and responding to telephone enquiries and managing referrals.
- Processing invoices, bulk billing, and updating/maintaining patient information via databases.
- Coordinating clinics through the patient scheduling system.
- Organising patient files for medical teams.
- Performing Healthroster data entry and roster creation using templates for department staff members.
- Exercising initiative in applying established day-to-day work practices and procedures, prioritizing workload, and ensuring timely task completion.
