Overview of Claims Specialist - Liability & Casualty
This role offers a fast and friendly claims experience for policyholders and agents. You will handle a diverse portfolio of Homeowner and Commercial General Liability claims with an emphasis on empathy, analytical insight, and creative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze claims to determine liability and damages.
- Resolve claims timely and maintain accurate reserve levels.
- Review litigated complaints and develop legal strategies.
- Collaborate with attorneys and provide direction on coverage issues.
- Communicate with policyholders, agents, and service providers effectively.
- Calculate liable damages and process claim payments.
- Utilize claims management systems for detailed claim notation.
The Successful Candidate
If you are a motivated, detail-oriented adjuster with 5+ years in casualty/general liability and litigation experience, this role at Swyfft is designed for you. You will bring clarity, prompt follow-ups, and the ability to manage stressful situations with calm and humor.
Requirements & Education
- 5+ years of experience as a casualty/general liability adjuster.
- 5+ years of litigation experience in a multi-state environment.
- Licensed or eligible for licensing in TX, FL, CA, and NY.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (High School Diploma/GED required).
- Proficiency with MS Office, Slack, and MS Teams.
- Experience with claims operating systems (IMS/LSS/Symbility).
Work Arrangement & Compensation
This is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity (eligible states apply) with some travel requirements. The typical base pay range is estimated between $85,000 and $105,000 per year along with a comprehensive benefits package.
