This role will lead projects of key organizational significance, including global initiatives that support operations in Mexico. Reporting directly to the Director of IT and Security, the Technical Project Manager will act as a bridge between all technical teams and organizational stakeholders to drive the successful implementation of enterprise-wide Technology initiatives.The individual will create comprehensive project plans, and manage cross-functional resources, interdependencies, timelines, and metrics of success for these projects to ensure that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet the defined scope and acceptance. The organization is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who can bring technical rigor, strategic oversight, and a deep commitment to the mission.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Cultural Leadership
- Contribute to the critical mission of ending suicide among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning young people, while fostering an inclusive approach to direct work and engagement with colleagues across the organization.
- Demonstrate successful planning and problem-solving skills, including multitasking and working well within tight timelines.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy, and bring fair, ethical, and equitable business practices to all work.

Project & Strategic Leadership
- Work with Technology and cross-departmental senior leadership and other program management leads to assess and define technology project roadmaps with clear deliverables and milestone dates.
- Execute and revise project work plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Deliver projects on time ensuring quality, compliance, legal, and technical standards are met, exercising financial stewardship over project budgets of $500,000+.
- Proactively identify, prioritize, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating critical operational tasks when necessary.
- Manage the administrative workflow of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring vendors respond on time and all necessary documentation is collected for review.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Communicate project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities, and other relevant information to stakeholders and leadership.
- Create and maintain documentation including executive summaries, steering committee decks, weekly status reports, and sprint and project retrospectives.
- Work, communicate, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization, utilizing strong conflict resolution skills to build consensus and keep projects aligned.
- Partner with department leads to drive effective change management strategies, ensuring all staff are prepared for, trained on, and supported through technical transitions.
Advancing Our Mission Through Technology
- Lead new project initiatives for performance management, new revenue models and offerings, improvements to the contact center.
- Build new processes and procedures supported by software (MS Project, Jira, Asana, etc.) to streamline project onboarding.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of dedicated professional experience in Technical Project Management, successfully leading complex, cross-functional projects that deliver technical solutions for diverse business units across an entire organization (from inception to deployment).
- Organized: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple timelines and follow up on tasks without prompting.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively chasing down answers from vendors and internal stakeholders alike.
- Tech Savviness: Advanced proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project) and office productivity suites.
- Technical Fluency: Knowledge of software ecosystems, specifically understanding that applications require system integrations and hardware dependencies. The individual does not need to know how these function technically, but must know they exist and be able to write clear tasks for technical teams to define the specifics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry recognized certifications: PMI - PMP, CAPM, CPMAI, PRINCE2, CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, Six Sigma
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
