Job Description

About Our Client

While the rest of the security industry obsesses over locking data down to prevent it from being lost or stolen, Swooped is doing something fundamentally different. The organization is setting data free so that it can be intentionally shared with others, but without sacrificing security, privacy, or control.

Our client has created both a suite of powerful data protection applications and an open platform that is sparking an ecosystem of innovation. Through the Trusted Data Format (TDF) open standard, the organization is not just protecting data; it is creating a new paradigm where security enables sharing rather than preventing it.

Think of this as the Android of data protection: a robust platform with an open core that developers and partners can build upon, coupled with best-in-class applications that showcase what is possible when security is reimagined from the ground up.

Backed by leading investment firms, the company is helping Fortune 500 companies and government agencies discover that true data security means having the freedom to share, collaborate, and innovate — without compromise.

About The Learning Experience Specialist Role

The Technical Training team is scaling to meet the demands of a growing Data Security Platform (DSP) ecosystem — spanning customers, partners, and internal team members. The team operates on a T-shaped competency model where everyone maintains a strong generalist foundation (50-70%) while developing deep specialized excellence (30-50%) in a specific domain. This ensures resilience, velocity, and quality without creating silos.

As the Learning Experience Specialist, this role will join as the content production engine of the team — focusing 60% on on-demand content creation and multimedia learning (video production, self-paced modules, content repurposing) and 40% on LMS operations and program coordination (administration, logistics, learner support).

Working closely with the Director of Training and the Technical Curriculum Developer, this position will transform complex technical concepts into engaging, scalable video-based learning experiences that accelerate customer and partner enablement as well as global reach. Multimedia production expertise, operational execution (LMS administration, logistics coordination, learner support), curriculum development, and facilitation of training sessions will ensure production velocity never compromises learner quality or technical accuracy.

What This Role Will Do

Video Production & Editing
  • Script, record, and edit training videos and product demos using tools like Camtasia, Loom, and Descript
  • Convert ILT/VILT session recordings into modular on-demand content (5-10 minute segments optimized for self-paced learning)
  • Produce scenario-based video content with visual consistency, branding standards, and accessibility features (captions, transcripts)
Self-Paced Module Development
  • Build microlearning assets (15-30 minutes) with interactive assessments, quizzes, and quick-reference guides aligned to the DSP Learning Architecture
  • Design engaging learning experiences that apply adult learning principles and scenario-based instruction
  • Create job aids, runbooks, and visual reference materials that support on-the-job application
Content Conversion & Repurposing
  • Transform existing ILT materials (slides, facilitator guides, recordings) into asynchronous learning experiences
  • Repurpose Bootcamp content into a scalable on-demand library
  • Rationalize and modernize legacy training materials across multiple repositories (GitHub, Google Classroom, Secure Share, etc.)
Learner Experience Design
  • Apply instructional design fundamentals to create intuitive, learner-friendly content navigation and flow
  • Design assessments that validate learning and provide meaningful feedback
  • Gather and analyze learner feedback to continuously improve content effectiveness
LMS Implementation, Administration & Content Publishing
  • Support LMS implementation and rollout activities in partnership with the Director of Training and IT
  • Manage day-to-day LMS administration including:
    • Publishing SCORM/xAPI content packages
    • Creating courses, learning paths, and catalogs
    • Managing learner enrollments, groups, and access permissions (customers, partners, internal team members)
    • Generating reports and analytics dashboards to track completion rates, engagement, and learning outcomes
  • Maintain content version control and ensure the right audiences see the right material
  • Support migration of existing training materials into the LMS
Training Logistics & Operational Coordination
  • Manage ILT/VILT scheduling, invitations, reminders, and learner communications
  • Coordinate Partner Bootcamp logistics and learner support
  • Track training initiatives in Jira, including content development, reviews, updates, and migrations
  • Serve as point of contact for learners seeking access, troubleshooting, or navigation support
Curriculum & Program Support
  • Assist with course outlines and curriculum structure
  • Conduct learner interviews and feedback analysis to inform content priorities and design decisions
  • Peer-review training materials for clarity, learner usability, visual consistency, and instructional quality
  • Support standardized intake and prioritization processes for training requests
Training Delivery Support
  • Co-facilitate ILT/VILT sessions as producer/co-facilitator, providing demo backup and Q&A support
  • Host webinars, lunch-and-learns, and orientation sessions for internal and external audiences
  • Collaborate on internal technical onboarding initiatives
  • Gather session feedback and CSAT data to drive continuous improvement

Must-Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to organize complex information and turn it into clear, simple artifacts (slides, guides, SOPs, checklists, or basic training materials).
  • Strong project coordination and follow-through skills — the ability to track multiple workstreams, manage details, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Comfortable working with technical concepts (cloud, SaaS, security, or dev tools) even if not yet an expert; a willingness to dig in, ask questions, and learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adjust style for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High comfort with modern collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Confluence, etc.).

Nice to Haves

  • 5–7+ years in technical curriculum development, technical training delivery, or deeply technical enablement roles.

  • Familiarity with programming or experience reading code snippets (e.g., Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash) to support SDK-related training content.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and support teams.
  • Strong writing, editing, and instructional design skills.
  • Self-starter mindset — comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure from the ground up.

Qualities that will set you up for success

  • Thinking outside of the box to respectfully challenge teammates and managers in the pursuit of excellence
  • Strong sense of urgency with an action-oriented mindset
  • Able to collaborate and adapt to shifting priorities as business needs evolve
  • Comfortable with asynchronous communication including slack, email, zoom, etc.
