Uncover Hiring Manager

Job Description

About Swooped

Our client, Swooped, is the modern AI platform for marketing and growth teams. Its AI agents reimagine marketing workflows, allowing marketers to create content, plan campaigns, and execute strategies with transformational velocity and performance.

Swooped is built on the intersection of two fundamental technological shifts: advances in LLMs and agentic AI, and the creation and rapid adoption of cloud data warehouses. Building on these tailwinds, it has become a leader in AI marketing and partners with industry leaders across various sectors.

The team focuses on making a meaningful impact for its customers. Challenges are approached with first-principles thinking, moving quickly and efficiently, and treating each other with compassion and kindness. The organization looks for team members who are strong communicators, have a growth mindset, and are motivated and persistent in achieving goals.

About The Role: IT Manager

Swooped is hiring its first dedicated IT Manager to own and scale its internal IT function as it grows toward 600+ employees globally. This role is accountable for fast and low-friction IT outcomes while helping the organization scale and achieve its compliance goals.

Currently, the company partners with a third-party IT vendor for hands-on execution. This role will own the outcomes, manage vendors, define and evolve processes, and serve as the internal point of accountability for all IT matters as the company scales.

This individual will report into the Head of People Operations with a strong dotted line to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations & End-User Experience
  • Own end-to-end IT operations, increasing speed and consistency for onboarding, offboarding, laptop lifecycle, access management, and device security.
  • Ensure reliable, scalable, and auditable IT processes as the company grows.
  • Create a sense of urgency for the resolution of IT issues and act as the primary escalation point when there is friction.
  • Partner with People Ops and Engineering to ensure seamless employee lifecycle support for the global and growing workforce.
  • Partner with Engineering and Security to administer laptop refresh cycles, software provisioning, patching, and endpoint security controls.

Vendor & Tooling Management
  • Own the relationship with IT vendor(s), including performance management, SLAs, and cost effectiveness.
  • Evaluate when to optimize, replace, or bring capabilities in-house as the company scales.
  • Own tooling decisions across identity, endpoint management, and IT automation.

Security, Compliance & Audit Partnership
  • Partner closely with Security and Engineering to ensure IT processes support SOC 2 / ISO / future compliance needs.
  • Ensure controls are implemented practically, balancing risk mitigation with employee velocity.
  • Maintain audit-ready evidence for IT-owned controls and workflows.
  • Help evolve guardrails, automation, and policies so audits are predictable.

Scaling with Intention
  • Bring best practices from high-growth environments and apply them thoughtfully.
  • Anticipate what IT needs to look like at 600–1,000 employees.
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Influence without over-process — knowing when structure is necessary and when flexibility matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience owning all IT operations across the business, with meaningful time spent in high-growth startup environments.
  • Experience owning IT outcomes while working with third-party vendors or MSPs.
  • Strong understanding of modern SaaS-based IT environments.
  • Working knowledge of security and compliance concepts.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity — and turning it into clarity.
  • Strong judgment around balancing controls with speed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Rippling.
  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams.
  • Prior exposure to audits or compliance programs in fast-moving companies.

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $160,000-$220,000 USD per year, which is location independent in accordance with the remote-first policy. Meaningful equity compensation is offered in the form of ISO options with early exercise and a 10-year post-termination exercise window.

Note:“We are not the EOR (Employer of Record) for this position. Our role in this specific opportunity is to connect outstanding candidates with a top-tier employer.
