About the Role
The IT Manager at Swooped is a strategic, hands-on IT leader responsible for shaping IT systems, processes, and tools for a globally distributed team. Reporting to the Director of IT & Security, this senior role partners with People Experience, Security, Legal, Engineering, and Sales to implement secure and scalable workflows that enhance the employee experience worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and execution of secure, scalable IT systems and processes.
- Collaborate with teams to review workflows and implement improvements.
- Manage day-to-day technical support including software provisioning and hardware troubleshooting.
- Optimize onboarding, offboarding, and IT lifecycle workflows.
- Maintain and evolve IT infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance.
- Implement IAM, SSO, and role-based access controls.
- Partner with Security and Compliance on internal controls and audit preparations.
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in company systems and applications.
- Align IT strategy with business priorities and translate technical initiatives into business impact.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in a senior IT role within a remote or distributed SaaS company.
- Experience in IT support, systems administration, and security.
- Proficiency with cloud-first environments, IAM, zero-trust principles, and endpoint security.
- Hands-on experience with SaaS IT tools (Google Workspace, Okta, Slack, Zoom) and MDM solutions (Jamf, Kandji, Intune).
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls) and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Strong influencing skills to drive alignment without direct authority.
- Curiosity and openness to emerging technologies like AI and automation.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills on macOS and Windows systems.

Compensation & Benefits
The starting salary is $120,000 USD, subject to market adjustment. The benefits package includes 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, mental health, and supplemental insurance for employees and their families, 16 weeks paid parental leave, unlimited PTO, remote work and wellness stipends, and a professional development budget.
