About The Role

This role is for a strategic and operational leader supporting the cofounder in driving company-wide planning, cross-functional coordination, and executive-level initiatives. The Director of Operations and Strategy will add structure, manage processes, and ensure alignment across teams to achieve organizational goals. Additionally, the role acts as a key representative of the cofounder by guiding informed decisions, drafting communications, and fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution:

  • Lead annual and quarterly planning ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Track and monitor goals and roadmaps to maintain mission focus.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with department heads to drive execution and accountability.
  • Promote operational excellence through improved collaboration and process.

Executive Support & Communication:

  • Prepare the cofounder with market insights and key talking points.
  • Represent the cofounder in meetings ensuring accurate communication.
  • Draft documents and communications maintaining consistent tone.
  • Support real-time decision making to advance projects efficiently.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years in operations, strategy, business development, or similar roles.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and planning.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making with a collaborative approach.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, investment banking, or consulting experience.
  • Familiarity with open source software and artificial intelligence.
