About Swooped

Role Overview
The Director of IT will oversee IT strategy, infrastructure, and security across all sites, ensuring scalable, reliable systems that enable growth and seamless robotics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the IT roadmap aligned with company growth and R&D goals; partner with various departments to enable business and robotics innovation; lead IT planning for new markets and acquisitions.
- Infrastructure & Systems: Oversee enterprise IT infrastructure, networks, and cloud services with focus on uptime and scalability; implement collaboration, productivity, and ERP systems; support IoT and edge-device deployments critical to robotics operations.
- Security & Compliance: Collaborate with security leaders on identity management, endpoint protection, and incident response; ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, CCPA, and related standards.
- Team & Vendor Leadership: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing IT team; manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
- Support & Operations: Establish SLAs for IT support across offices, labs, and depots; drive continuous improvement in helpdesk and IT services.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure and operations, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing enterprise IT environments in high-growth, tech-driven companies.
- Expertise in networking, cloud platforms, identity management, and enterprise systems.
- Experience managing live operations across multiple time zones.
- Strong communication, leadership, and vendor management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IoT deployments and smart edge devices.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CISSP or equivalent networking experience.
- Exposure to robotics, logistics, or live operations environments.
- Background in budget ownership and supporting M&A activities.
Compensation & Additional Information
Compensation: $210K – $250K with equity opportunities.
