Job Description
Who You Are
You are a Product Designer II who thrives on complexity, transforming it into intuitive, thoughtful user experiences. You excel at discovering clarity in data, identifying patterns, and balancing detailed flow design with the bigger picture. You're proactive in preventing UX problems through elegant design solutions.
You are also adept in agentic design workflows, integrating AI as a collaborator to accelerate exploration, generate design variations, produce production-ready code, and rigorously stress-test ideas. This approach serves as a force multiplier for your craft and rigor, not a shortcut.
Joining the Product Design team and reporting to the Director of Product Design, you will be instrumental in shaping the core product experience at Swoogo. Your focus will be on usability as a core principle, pragmatically scaling design systems, and ensuring effortless accessibility. You are committed to thorough documentation, continuous refinement, and building robust design foundations.
Your curiosity drives you to create lasting experiences and share your insights. Whether you're sketching a new reporting workflow, leveraging AI for rapid prototyping, or fine-tuning the design system for consistency and scale, you bring craft, care, and collaboration. If you're passionate about shaping the future of events with data-rich, user-centric experiences, Swoogo is your ideal environment.
About The Role
As a Product Designer II at Swoogo, you will collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, and product managers to realize innovative ideas through thoughtful, user-centric design across all our products. You will contribute significantly to the overall product experience, translating user needs into elegant solutions that drive business outcomes. You will actively utilize agentic AI workflows, employing tools like Claude, Figma, and code-generation agents, to enhance the speed, depth, and fidelity of your design explorations. You are keen to explore how emerging AI technologies can empower event professionals and revolutionize design team operations.
The Swoogo team is characterized by passion, empathy, and hard work, always prioritizing customer success.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate for user needs while balancing business goals.
- Create comprehensive design solutions for web, iOS, and Android products through exploration, documentation, presentations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Utilize agentic AI workflows daily for rapid prototyping, generating design alternatives, producing implementation-ready assets, and validating concepts.
- Contribute to design-to-code governance by maintaining documentation, component mappings, and design system rules for AI agent code generation.
- Conduct competitor analysis, discovery research, and usability testing.
- Develop user flows, customer journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Present and articulate design concepts and rationale to team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and craftsmanship in design execution and implementation.
- Maintain and contribute to the design system, documenting new patterns, improving existing components, and ensuring consistency across products.
- Follow and enhance established design principles, curating repeatable patterns for consistency and scale.
- Inspire teams and stakeholders with forward-thinking ideas and define next-generation user experiences.
- Provide clear specifications and documentation for engineers to guide design implementation.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of professional experience in SaaS products, preferably for SMBs.
- A strong portfolio showcasing significant contributions to rich design work and patterns.
- Demonstrated experience with agentic AI design workflows, integrating AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Figma AI, Lovable, v0) into your design and prototyping process.
- Familiarity with design-to-code pipelines, understanding how design decisions translate into structured components, tokens, and governance documentation for AI agents.
- Knowledge of technical constraints for web, iOS, and Android.
- Understanding of accessibility guidelines (WCAG, A11y).
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled design or prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Lovable, Claude) to accelerate workflows.
- Experience maintaining components, contributing new patterns, and applying design tokens within a design system.
Bonus Points
- Strong visual and interaction design skills that result in functional and delightful user experiences.
- Systems-level thinking: ability to anticipate design changes' impact across a product ecosystem, including AI-assisted code generation.
- Experience building or contributing to governance documentation (e.g., component mapping files, design system rules, prompt templates) for agentic development workflows.
- Comfort orchestrating multi-step AI workflows (e.g., Figma design -> AI code generation -> review -> iteration in a single sprint cycle).
- Curiosity and adaptability in exploring AI's role in enhancing reporting, analytics, and user workflows.
- Comfort collaborating cross-functionally on AI-driven features or design explorations.
- Exposure to AI-driven data visualization, personalization, or workflow automation.
