About The Role
The VP, Senior Corporate Development Specialist role at Swiss Re is based in New York City. You will play a leading role in identifying and developing corporate finance opportunities across the Americas region. Reporting to the Co-Head of Corporate Development, you will drive key M&A transactions and investments with strategic stakeholders.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Execute Swiss Re Group's M&A transactions in collaboration with internal and external parties.
- Serve as a Board Member or Observer for strategic participations.
- Identify and analyze fit opportunities including financial modelling and valuation.
- Develop relationships across the Americas and keep abreast of market trends.
- Prepare materials for executive decision-making and monitor performance.
- Mentor junior professionals within the corporate development team.

Join a global team of insurance, investment, and M&A professionals with direct access to Swiss Re's C-suite. The team is recognized for its effective collaboration and expertise in risk transfer and corporate finance.
About You
You are an independent, confident collaborator with excellent judgment. Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex transaction details are key. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required (Portuguese is a plus).
Additional Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics or related field (MBA preferred).
- 8-10 years of experience in insurance/reinsurance, financial services M&A, or corporate transactions.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel within the Americas and to headquarters in Zurich.
Compensation
The estimated base salary range is $208,000 to $312,000, reflecting a total compensation approach including incentives and benefits.
