Job Description
Role Overview
A Search Engine Optimization Specialist is a digital marketing professional who analyzes, reviews, and implements changes to websites to optimize them for search engines. The primary goal of this role is to maximize organic (non-paid) traffic and improve rankings on search engine results pages (SERPs) across platforms like Google and Bing.
We are looking for a hands-on Search Engine Optimization Specialist to help execute and scale an established SEO strategy across digital platforms. This role is highly execution-focused and ideal for someone who enjoys getting work done — updating pages, optimizing metadata, publishing content, analyzing performance, and maintaining the overall health of a large website.
You will work closely with Content, Product Marketing, and Analytics teams to ensure SEO best practices are consistently applied across pages, launches, and ongoing optimizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute on-page SEO optimizations across existing and new pages, including metadata, headers, internal linking, schema markup, and content updates.
- Publish, update, and maintain SEO content within the CMS, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with best practices.
- Write, edit, and optimize content (articles, landing pages, product-related content) to align with SEO guidelines, brand voice, and search intent.
- Support content creation by drafting or editing SEO-friendly content and implementing feedback from briefs and guidelines.
- Assist with technical SEO execution, including identifying broken links, redirect issues, indexing problems, and performing basic site health checks.
- Partner with Product Marketing and Content teams to apply SEO requirements to product pages, launches, and updates.
- Monitor SEO performance using analytics and search tools, identifying issues and opportunities for optimization.
- Support ongoing reporting by pulling data, tracking changes, and validating the impact of optimizations.
Skills & Requirements
- 2–5 years of hands-on SEO experience, with a strong focus on execution and optimization.
- Experience writing, editing, and optimizing content for search (blog posts, landing pages, product pages).
- Familiarity with CMS platforms and publishing workflows (Drupal experience is a strong plus).
- Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, on-page optimization, internal linking, and basic technical SEO.
- Experience using analytics and SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Ahrefs.
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Willingness to “get hands dirty” and take ownership of day-to-day SEO execution.
