Overview
The Finance Manager plays a critical role in Swickard TOJL, LLC d/b/a Land Rover Thousand Oaks by securing financing for customers, structuring deals, and presenting financial and insurance products to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership profitability. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Financing and Loan Processing:
- Meet with customers post vehicle selection to discuss financing options.
- Assess creditworthiness and pre-qualify customers for various lenders.
- Negotiate loan terms and interest rates on behalf of customers.
- Secure financing approval and finalize loan documents.
- Ensure documentation is accurate and regulatory compliant.
Product Presentation and Sales:
- Present various financial and insurance products (extended warranties, gap insurance, etc.).
- Tailor recommendations to customer needs and budgets.
- Overcome objections and close F&I product deals effectively.
- Maintain comprehensive product knowledge.
Deal Structuring and Profitability:
- Structure financing deals that meet customer needs while maximizing profit.
- Utilize tools and techniques to boost dealership profitability within legal limits.
- Track sales performance and seek ways to improve F&I penetration.
Customer Service and Relationship Building:
- Provide exceptional service during the financing process.
- Build trust and rapport with customers, addressing concerns professionally.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure all practices align with federal and state financing regulations.
- Stay informed about regulatory updates and adjust processes accordingly.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Train and mentor sales staff on F&I products and processes.
- Maintain relationships with lenders and insurance providers.
- Assist with sales reports and financial analysis as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate demonstrates a high Hospitality Quotient (kindness, optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity), with 2-3 years experience in automotive finance or related fields. A valid driver's license with a clean record, strong automotive finance knowledge, excellent sales and negotiation skills, effective communication, proficiency in DMS, and compliance knowledge are required. Experience in a fast-paced environment and the ability to multitask are essential.
