Responsibilities
Customer Service and Communication:
- Greet customers, establish rapport, and assess service needs.
- Conduct visual inspections or road tests to gather information.
- Explain service recommendations, repair options, and costs clearly.
- Obtain customer authorization for repairs and provide updates.
- Follow up post-service to ensure satisfaction.
Service Process Management:
- Schedule appointments based on technician availability and customer needs.
- Write detailed service orders with repair recommendations.
- Coordinate with technicians regarding customer concerns.
- Track progress to ensure timely completion and accurate invoicing.
Technical Knowledge and Parts Management:
- Understand automotive systems and common repairs.
- Stay updated on new technologies and service procedures.
- Research parts availability and pricing for accurate estimates.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Uphold safety regulations and shop protocols.
- Perform basic inspections or prepare vehicles when necessary.
Qualifications
This Experienced Service Advisor role requires at least 2 years of proven experience. A high 'Hospitality Quotient' (kindness, optimism, empathy, and integrity) is essential. Experience with GMC is a plus, along with strong automotive terminology knowledge, excellent communication skills, proficiency in dealership management software, and a valid driver's license.
