Responsibilities

Customer Service and Communication:

  • Greet customers, establish rapport, and assess service needs.
  • Conduct visual inspections or road tests to gather information.
  • Explain service recommendations, repair options, and costs clearly.
  • Obtain customer authorization for repairs and provide updates.
  • Follow up post-service to ensure satisfaction.

Service Process Management:

  • Schedule appointments based on technician availability and customer needs.
  • Write detailed service orders with repair recommendations.
  • Coordinate with technicians regarding customer concerns.
  • Track progress to ensure timely completion and accurate invoicing.

Technical Knowledge and Parts Management:

  • Understand automotive systems and common repairs.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and service procedures.
  • Research parts availability and pricing for accurate estimates.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Uphold safety regulations and shop protocols.
  • Perform basic inspections or prepare vehicles when necessary.

Qualifications

This Experienced Service Advisor role requires at least 2 years of proven experience. A high 'Hospitality Quotient' (kindness, optimism, empathy, and integrity) is essential. Experience with GMC is a plus, along with strong automotive terminology knowledge, excellent communication skills, proficiency in dealership management software, and a valid driver's license.
