Job Description

About Sweco and the Team

The world of tomorrow demands creative minds, smart solutions, and courage.

“Do you find it fascinating that in the Netherlands alone, there are over 1.7 million kilometers of cables and pipelines underground? And do you see it as a challenge to advise on the optimal outcome for cables and pipelines in various complex projects, together with the team, weighing all interests? Then I hope you want to be part of our enthusiastic team!”– Marit Westenberg – Team Manager Environmental Management

Sweco works on solutions to reduce the consequences of climate change and develop resilient cities and infrastructure. Additionally, Sweco promotes sustainable development by integrating environmentally friendly solutions into projects and reducing the ecological footprint. Sweco also helps facilitate participation processes and build good relationships with stakeholders. To complement the team of 16 professionals in cables & pipelines, environmental management, and permits, we are looking for a Projectleider Ondergrondse Infrastructuur.

Sweco distinguishes itself with an integrated approach, considering all aspects of a project, such as technology, sustainability, liveability, and safety. Our multidisciplinary expertise allows us to tackle complex projects and find innovative solutions. Within the Environmental Management team, we are involved from planning to realization in the preparations and coordination of the cable and pipeline process. This team is involved in infrastructure projects in road, rail, and hydraulic engineering, as well as in the energy and area development sectors. We work for both (semi-)governmental bodies and contractors. For example, we are currently working on the high-profile projects Dijkversterking Cuijk–Ravenstein, Streefkerk-Ameide-Fort Everdingen, and Tiel-Waardenburg, and on project Guisweg.

The Role of a Projectleider Ondergrondse Infrastructuur

As a Projectleider Ondergrondse Infrastructuur, you will build an extensive network of colleagues, sector partners, and grid operators. You will be responsible for coordinating third-party cables and pipelines. You are knowledgeable about VTAs, VTMs, POS-sen, financial final dossiers, and can draw up an initial cost estimate for relocation. Additionally, you play an important role in guiding junior employees and igniting their enthusiasm for underground infrastructure. Together, you ensure the successful execution of projects, with quality and safety being paramount.

What You Bring

  • Completed relevant HBO/WO education
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of GIS
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills
