About the Opportunity
SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking a Senior Environmental Inspector to work on a long range project. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high quality work. The position is continuously active and will contact qualified applicants as needed for upcoming projects.
What You Will Accomplish
The Senior Environmental Inspector will manage and coordinate multiple regular Environmental Inspectors, review daily inspection reports, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations for pipeline and oil and gas related construction activities. Project work may include Federal land management, oil and gas development, transportation, water resources, renewable energy, transmission/pipelines, mining, habitat restoration, wildfire monitoring, and watershed studies. Responsibilities include supervising the installation and maintenance of BMPs, erosion control devices, and environmental exclusion areas during construction, as well as using topographic maps, GPS units, aerial photographs, and other field tools. The role also involves taking responsibility for team safety, developing safety plans, and anticipating potential hazards.
Experience And Qualifications For Success
- Over 10 years of experience in environmental consulting inspecting oil and gas/pipeline projects.
- Ability to inspect pipelines and oil & gas related facilities.
- Familiarity with soil erosion control, BMP installation and maintenance.
- Experience with agricultural mitigation plans and drain tile repair.
- Able to work in remote areas using ATVs or similar vehicles.
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check are required.

Compensation and Benefits
The Houston, TX-based position offers a base hourly rate of $25.20 to $37.80, with premium rates available on some client projects. Additional benefits include wellness paid time off, an employee assistance program, wellness activities, and career development programs.
