Role Summary: Product Specialist - Integration

Surgical Information Systems is searching for a smart, creative, and passionate product management leader with experience facilitating data integration and sharing in healthcare software to drive efficiency, data utilization and delight end-users. You will have the opportunity to work directly with customers and internal cross-functional teams to design workflows that ensure customers gain maximum benefit and ROI via integrations and data access across their ecosystems and the continuum of patient care. This function is key to our product strategy, making it a critical part of our product team. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with and/or lead cross-functional teams to design, build and launch solutions that support our go-forward vision.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall success of our integration and data assets from inception to launch (and ongoing improvements thereafter).
  • Partner with customers, partners, 3rd parties, and internal teams to define use cases and bring them to life.
  • Serve as “voice of the customer” to evolve our integration and data sharing product capabilities.
  • Work closely with Services, Support, Development, and other members of the Product Management team to ensure end-to-end operationalization of integration and data solutions that support scale and deliver desired results for customers.
  • Establish, monitor, and communicate integration best practices to drive scale across all areas of the business.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement of the vendor onboarding process, ensuring it scales efficiently and delivers best-in-class experience for customers and partners.
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate competitive intelligence related to integration and data solutions, providing roadmap recommendations to Product Management leadership.
  • Drive the technical and operational readiness of APIs.
  • Define, publish and communicate integration technology standards, frameworks, principles, and associated roadmap.
  • Contribute to revenue growth based on product adoption and partnership development.
  • Specialized experience in software integrations to support the necessary analysis, requirements elicitation, workflow design user story development for seamless end-to end-workflows.
  • Contributes to go-to-market process by collaborating as part of the cross-functional team, working with 3rd parties involved, and providing support to Product leadership to execute GTM strategy.
  • Contribute to thought leadership in the industry, with our customers and internal teams.
  • Stay current with all technology, regulatory, and operational changes that affect the market, product, services, and roadmap.
  • Fosters positive relations with other departments.
  • Participates in critical and escalated client meetings.

The right candidate possesses a passion for helping customers automate workflows throughout their ecosystem via integrations and data sharing, helping them achieve operational and clinical excellence. This individual must:

  • Be able to act as Interoperability subject matter expert, guiding collaboration with customers, partners, and 3rd parties to determine technical feasibility and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Enjoy problem-solving, designing, and implementing data-related workflows ranging from simple to complex for and with customers and other participants in the healthcare ecosystem.
  • Have excellent project management skills resulting in delivery of high quality results in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate excellent collaboration skills, logic, and creativity during the process.
  • Exercise judgment with respect to managing priorities, resources, and risk.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Have expertise in defining detailed product requirements that meet the changing market needs while ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality.
  • Have an extraordinary eye for usability and the customer experience.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in customer and internal follow-through and communication.
  • Manage contact with customers, industry analysts and strategic partners to obtain competitive and market data for product.
  • Play a key role in the development and ongoing growth of relationships with partners and vendors.
  • Have a strategic mindset and the ability to build business cases to support white space development and organic revenue growth.
  • Research, develop and recommend go-to-market pricing and packaging for data solutions.
  • Be flexible and agile, possessing the ability to rapidly adapt to changing situations.

Specific Knowledge & Skills Required

  • 7+ years experience working in a Product Management organization as a product owner in healthcare IT, preferably in products that support healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, and clinical documentation.
  • 5+ years’ experience working with interoperability and data solutions for cloud-based / SaaS products.
  • Expertise in interoperability in the healthcare ecosystem such as APIs, FHIR, HL7, Odata, data drops, and best practices for implementing these to support various workflows.
  • Skilled working with customers, partners, and 3rd parties to scope workflows and technical feasibility of customer interoperability requests.
  • Experience with data modeling and leveraging BI tools such as Looker, Power BI, or similar.
  • Experience promoting API reuse and governance of API usage both internal and external developers.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience defining, launching, and supporting developer portals including API Marketplaces.
  • Pragmatic Marketing certification strongly preferred.
