Job Description
About Supliful
Supliful is the operating system for consumable brand builders, handling formulation, fulfillment, and compliance so founders can focus on brand and distribution. Since 2020, we've achieved over $54M in cumulative brand GMV, reaching profitability on just $3.4M in total funding. Our platform GMV has nearly quadrupled, from $6.5M in 2023 to projected $24M+ in 2025, powered by 1,550+ active builders shipping 750K items last year. We're now entering a new phase, rebuilding our go-to-market strategy around insights from our best builders and integrating AI tools to dramatically shorten time to market, targeting $50M+ in platform GMV by 2026.
The Role: Full Stack Engineer
We are hiring product engineers at Supliful, not engineers who passively await specifications. Our engineers own the full lifecycle: from problem comprehension and solution shaping to shipping, and performance monitoring in the real world. There are no product managers dictating tasks; you are closest to the problem and responsible for the solution.
Our small team builds app.supliful.com and vital internal tools, including Admin, Fulfillment, and integrations with Shopify, Stripe, and our WMS partner. We prioritize speed, shipping weekly, and operating transparently by openly sharing progress, demos, and early ideas to foster the best outcomes. We are also heavily investing in AI-assisted development and building AI-powered tools for our brand builders. If you have strong opinions on AI's impact on software development and usage, you will have ample opportunity to implement them here.
What you'll actually do
- Talk to your users. Regularly. Your primary users are internal – ops, fulfillment, leadership, and other teams relying on your tools. You’ll engage with them to identify issues, bottlenecks, and missing functionalities. We are also developing closer feedback loops directly with our brand builders.
- Shape what gets built. You will research, prototype, and articulate your vision for problem resolution, then rigorously test it with the team. You're expected to form well-supported opinions based on evidence.
- Ship end-to-end. You will introduce features across the full stack, from frontend to backend, UI to database. This includes scoping your work, making design decisions, writing code, and deploying it to production.
- Own the outcome. Shipping is just the beginning. You will monitor your work's performance, analyze usage data, address any underperforming aspects, and integrate learnings into future iterations.
- Work across boundaries. Collaborate effectively with designers, operations, leadership, and fellow engineers. Many of your most crucial products will serve internal stakeholders, not just external users.
- Build with AI. Leverage AI tools to accelerate your personal workflow and contribute to developing AI-powered capabilities for our brand builders. We are actively engaged in R&D in this area and seek engineers eager to embrace it.
Is this you?
- 5+ years of software development experience. You have successfully shipped real products in dynamic environments, ideally within small teams where you embraced diverse responsibilities.
- Full-stack fluency. You are adept at crafting sophisticated UIs and constructing robust backend services. Your focus extends beyond mere implementation to the overall user experience.
- Product instinct. You prioritize understanding the 'why' behind a feature over simply knowing 'how' to build it, preferring to construct the right thing imperfectly than the wrong thing flawlessly.
- Intellectual curiosity. You delve deeper, questioning existing approaches, reverse-engineering decisions, and seeking comprehensive understanding.
- Comfort with ambiguity. You are comfortable initiating work without complete information, using prototyping as a learning tool, and are energized, not hindered, by open-ended challenges.
- Strong communication. You can articulate your work's purpose and importance to engineers, designers, leadership, and users alike, demonstrating strong written and verbal presentation skills.
- High emotional intelligence. You practice active listening, offer constructive challenges, and build trust through diligent work.
- Bonus: Experience with our stack – Node, TypeScript, Next.js, Prisma, tRPC, Postgres.
This is not for everyone
If you prefer detailed specifications, a dedicated QA team, and clearly defined roles, while a valid approach, it does not align with our operational model. Supliful engineers are expected to operate as owners: understanding problems, making build decisions, shipping solutions, and taking full responsibility for them. The environment is fast-paced, the scope is broad, and ambiguity is a constant. If this challenging, autonomous work appeals to you, we encourage you to continue.
What we offer
- Ownership from day one. Equity through stock options, complete business transparency (metrics, financials, strategy), and a direct voice in product decisions.
- Hybrid flexibility. Work remotely when appropriate, and collaborate in person at our modern, pet-friendly office in central Riga when beneficial. Secure bike/motorbike parking is available.
- Growth through exposure. Gain comprehensive insight into a high-growth company's operations across engineering, product, operations, and go-to-market strategies. Our primary market is the US, and we are recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in Central Europe.
- Wellness & perks. Health insurance & paid cellular plan (LMT) from day one. Enjoy fitness and nutrition support, nootropics, coffee, on-site Pilates and gym access, a massage chair, vision care reimbursement, a birthday gift, regular team events, and company merchandise. MVP award recipients receive a monetary bonus.
- Compensation:
- Base salary €4,200 – €5,200/month
- Annual salary review
