Job Scope

The Systems Engineer 3 supports the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. This role is responsible for managing a mix of Microsoft-based systems, virtual infrastructure, AWS-hosted services, backups, monitoring, and automation to ensure stable, secure, and efficient operations.

Essential Functions

• Support and maintain Windows Server environments (2016-2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
• Maintain Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Entra Connect for secure hybrid identity management.
• Provision and manage AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and VPCs.
• Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and PowerShell.
• Administer VMware/Hyper-V environments and perform capacity planning and migrations.
• Utilize Datadog for monitoring and performance tuning.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory standards.
• Administer backup and recovery solutions using Rubrik and AWS native tools.
• Serve as Tier-3 support and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Minimum of five years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations with hands-on exposure to Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, AWS, VMware/Hyper-V, Datadog, and backup tools. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. Preferred certifications include AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator or Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, and CompTIA Security+.

• Expertise in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
• Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to document processes and manage multiple priorities.
• Mentor junior team members and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Work Environment

This role supports a hybrid work environment with remote and on-site work options. Participation in an on-call schedule and occasional afterhours or weekend work is required.
