About The Role

The Video and Motion Graphics Editor at Rising Tide Interactive plays a vital role in the creation of visually compelling political video content designed to inspire action and engagement. This creative professional is responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and editing videos tailored for digital platforms, including social media channels like TikTok, Reels, and Stories. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of professional experience in video editing and motion design, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality content under tight deadlines. This role offers flexibility with the option to work remotely or from our Washington, DC office, and it runs through November 2026 with potential for extension based on mutual interest and business needs.

As part of the Creative team, you will manage multiple projects from script to final product, ensuring each piece aligns with strategic goals and platform specifications. Your responsibilities will include developing creative concepts, selecting appropriate footage and assets, integrating motion graphics, visual effects, and audio, and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency. You will stay updated on the latest trends in digital video and social media tactics, ensuring that Rising Tide's content remains innovative and effective. Collaboration with team members, coordination of remote shoots, and management of media assets are integral parts of this role, requiring excellent communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in video editing and motion design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Illustrator
• Experience creating video content for digital platforms and social media (Reels, Stories, TikTok, etc.)
• Strong understanding of the entire video production process from concept to delivery
• Knowledge of media asset management platforms and solutions
• Familiarity with social media video specifications and best practices
• Excellent project management, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong eye for detail, pacing, music integration, and storytelling
• Professional demeanor with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Interest or experience in Democratic politics is preferred

Responsibilities

• Take video projects from script to final edit, following provided directions and problem-solving as needed
• Balance multiple projects at various stages of production, ensuring timely delivery
• Develop and execute creative concepts based on script direction and strategic objectives
• Utilize original footage, stock media, motion graphics, visual effects, and audio assets to produce engaging content
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in digital video and social media
• Coordinate remote video shoots, including managing logistics and talent as required
• Source and manage stock footage, voiceover artists, and background sound elements
• Ensure all video content meets quality standards and platform specifications
• Maintain organized media libraries and manage digital assets efficiently
• Communicate project timelines and updates clearly with team members and stakeholders
