About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled UI UX Software Engineer to join our CommandIQ team, part of the RMS business unit. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and integrating mission-critical Battle Management and Command & Control capabilities. Your primary focus will be on decomposing high-level features into actionable tasks, designing and implementing software modules, and ensuring seamless integration and testing of new functionalities. You will work within an Agile‑Scrum environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and stakeholder needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project that is shaping the future of command and control systems, with a focus on open architecture and customizable mission applications.
Qualifications
- Experience using Figma as a UI/UX design tool
- Frontend framework development experience with Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Familiarity with Docker and REST APIs
- Experience across the full software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience (advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience)
- Active Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
Responsibilities
- Decompose higher-level roadmap features into detailed, actionable work items
- Design, develop, and implement software features aligned with project requirements
- Perform peer code reviews and debug issues to ensure software quality
- Participate in technical discussions to define and resolve architectural challenges
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand stakeholder needs
- Integrate and test new software components within existing systems
- Maintain documentation of design and implementation processes
- Stay current with emerging technologies and incorporate best practices into development workflows
