About The Role
We are seeking talented Software Engineers at various levels to join our dynamic Product Engineering team. This role is pivotal in supporting UpGuard’s rapid growth and ongoing innovation in cybersecurity. As a Software Engineer at UpGuard, you will work within a collaborative, cross-functional team that values agility, creativity, and technical excellence. Your primary focus will be on developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that process vast amounts of data to deliver actionable insights to our global customer base. You will be involved in designing and implementing customer-facing features, improving system architecture, and contributing to technical discussions that shape the future of our platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to delve into complex cybersecurity problems, leverage emerging technologies such as AI and large language models, and make a tangible impact on our product and customers.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience in tech-centric, product-driven companies
- Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and other web technologies
- Strong backend development experience with languages such as Go
- Experience working with relational databases, particularly Postgres
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform
- Understanding of system reliability, scalability, and performance optimization
- Knowledge of modern development practices including code reviews, architectural decision-making, and agile methodologies
- Interest in exploring AI, LLMs, and emerging technologies to enhance product offerings
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make pragmatic trade-offs in design and delivery
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to develop innovative cybersecurity solutions
- Own the end-to-end development of new customer-facing features, ensuring high quality and reliability
- Enhance system scalability, performance, and stability through thoughtful architecture and coding practices
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural planning sessions
- Explore and master the fundamentals of cybersecurity and internet technologies to inform product development
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, testing, and deployment pipelines
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into the product
- Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues promptly
