About The Role
The Lead Data Analyst at Solventum will play a critical role in harnessing healthcare data to drive strategic insights and operational improvements. This position involves analyzing complex clinical and claims data, developing statistical models, and creating meaningful reports and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders. The Lead Data Analyst will collaborate closely with healthcare experts, payers, and business partners to interpret data trends, develop logic-driven solutions, and support initiatives related to payment models, quality metrics, and value-based care programs. The role offers an opportunity to work on high-impact projects that influence healthcare delivery and payment systems, including Medicare, Medicaid, and international payer programs. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in healthcare analytics, programming, and data management, with a focus on improving healthcare outcomes and operational efficiencies. This remote position may require up to 25% travel domestically or internationally and involves working across different time zones and team environments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in statistics, data science, computer science, mathematics, business, or related fields.
- Six (6) years of experience in healthcare analytics within private, public, or government sectors. OR High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant healthcare analytics experience.
- At least six (6) years of experience working with clinical and claims data.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Microsoft SQL, R, Python, and Athena.
- Experience in payment modeling, statistical analysis, and developing data-driven solutions.
- Knowledge of healthcare information systems, patient classification tools (e.g., 3M CRG, APR DRG, EAPG), and risk adjustment methodologies.
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other public domain healthcare programs and quality measures like VBP and ACO REACH.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, flexible environment, including working across time zones and hybrid settings.
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client requirements, gather relevant healthcare data, and produce comprehensive deliverables using Solventum HIS methodologies.
- Interpret analytical results and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Develop, test, and maintain code in SQL, R, Python, Athena, and other relevant languages for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Collaborate with healthcare experts to design logic and algorithms that meet client-specific goals and improve healthcare outcomes.
- Support the development of payment models, quality measurement systems, and performance tracking tools.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements during all data handling and analysis activities.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to implement data-driven strategies that enhance patient safety, operational efficiency, and value-based care initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new analytical tools, and healthcare policies to continuously improve analytical capabilities.
