The Human Resources Manager, Retail & Operations, is a key leadership role responsible for supporting Tuckernuck’s retail expansion efforts. This individual will lead full-cycle recruiting for retail positions, manage employee relations, and partner closely with store leadership to ensure a positive and productive work environment across all store locations. The role involves collaborating with senior HR and retail leadership to develop staffing strategies, oversee onboarding and training processes, and maintain compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. - 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on recruiting and retail HR
- Experience supporting multi-location or retail teams preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong recruiting and talent assessment skills
- Experience managing employee relations issues with sound judgment and discretion
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle recruiting for all retail roles including Assistant Managers, Stylists, and Operations team members
- Partner with the Director of Retail on hiring needs, workforce planning, and store opening timelines
- Manage job postings, candidate pipelines, interview coordination, and offer processes
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future store locations
- Ensure a seamless candidate experience aligned with Tuckernuck’s brand standards
- Support store opening hiring plans, ensuring timely fulfillment of roles
- Oversee onboarding logistics, coordinating schedules, training, and first-week experiences
- Support new store openings with onsite or remote onboarding efforts as needed
- Serve as the primary HR partner for retail employees and store leadership, providing guidance on performance management, coaching, and conflict resolution
- Partner with managers on disciplinary actions, documentation, and terminations
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HR data integrity
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations across multiple states
- Support reporting and analysis related to retail hiring, turnover, and workforce trends
- Collaborate with HR and retail leadership to implement employee engagement initiatives
- Promote Tuckernuck’s culture and values through programming and communication efforts
