About The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist specializing in Machine Learning to join our Enterprise Analytics team. This role is pivotal in leveraging data-driven insights to support strategic and operational decision-making across the organization. As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments, including Data Engineering, to develop and implement advanced analytics solutions. Your expertise will help translate complex data into actionable insights, enabling the company to enhance customer experiences, optimize operations, and drive innovation. The role involves working on a mix of long-term projects that utilize sophisticated machine learning models and short-term analytics that assist with daily tactical decisions. You will have the chance to work on high-impact initiatives, contribute to building comprehensive customer profiles, and expand our predictive analytics capabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to see your work directly influence business outcomes, fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience in data science or analytics roles
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R for statistical analysis and machine learning
  • Strong understanding of applied statistics and machine learning techniques
  • Experience with SQL for data pipeline development and management
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices, data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecture principles
  • Ability to create visual dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into business insights
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to develop, validate, and deploy machine learning and statistical models
  • Develop code within the Vertex.ai platform for training, deployment, and integration of models
  • Design and improve data-driven decision-making processes and strategies
  • Create key performance metrics and modeling reports for executive communication
  • Provide strategic and tactical recommendations to support business objectives
  • Present analysis findings clearly and effectively to team members and senior management
  • Enhance predictive analytics capabilities and contribute to building a comprehensive customer 360 view
  • Identify opportunities to leverage third-party tools, systems, and resources to augment data capabilities
