About The Role
The Backend Developer II at Electrify America will be instrumental in supporting and enhancing the company's back-end systems. Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience with backend stack development and extensive knowledge of software engineering principles
- Strong proficiency in developing distributed and cloud-native SOA back-end applications
- Experience managing and developing APIs for cross-device compatibility
- Hands-on experience with no-SQL databases such as MongoDB and relational databases like Postgres
- Proficiency in backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, Redis, and similar technologies
- Deep understanding of software design patterns and best practices
- Proven debugging skills using tracing, logging, and profiling tools
- Experience developing and maintaining high-availability, scalable, and resilient systems
- Knowledge of cryptography, secure communications, and secure software development practices
- Familiarity with Linux command line environment and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Experience with PKI, TLS, X.509 certificates, and secure data transmission
- Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly and demonstrate a growth mindset
- Experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Responsibilities
- Develop, refactor, and maintain high-quality, reliable, and secure backend code
- Create and enhance APIs to ensure seamless operation across various devices and external partners
- Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure software robustness and reliability
- Conduct regular code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for security, performance, and maintainability
- Participate actively in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with front-end developers, UI/UX teams, and vendors to develop integrated solutions
- Support security and performance testing, and optimize systems for scalability and speed
- Configure backend services to support frontend application usability and functionality
- Analyze and troubleshoot bugs, bugs resolution, and develop long-term solutions considering system dependencies
