Job Description
The Sr. Information Systems Security Engineer will report to the Manager, Security Engineering. This role is part of a team responsible for the security configurations and engineering across on-premise and cloud-based systems. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining security systems such as Data Loss Prevention, Identity and Access Management, Advanced Malware solutions, SIEM, and more.
- Lead configuration and implementation of all information security systems.
- Manage and patch security systems proactively.
- Act as backup or lead Scrum Master for the Security Engineering team.
- Configure and engineer endpoint, network, server, and database security controls.
- Provide mentoring and direction to peers and staff.
Qualifications
BS degree with 7+ years in Information Security or 10 years relevant experience; proficient in regulated industries like Healthcare or Fintech; hands-on experience with configuring security controls in on-premise and cloud environments; familiarity with Agile Scrum; expertise in Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability Management, and other security domains; programming knowledge (Python, Regex, PowerShell, SQL, JSON, XML) is desirable; and strong communication, organizational, and influencing skills. Security certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred.
