Overview
At Sun Life, the DB Pension Administration Manager plays a key role in managing defined benefit pension plans administration for Group Retirement Services. You will collaborate with Client Relationship and Operations teams to support tasks related to key pension plan clients.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert on defined benefit pension plans.
- Engage in cross-functional planning, execution and task validation.
- Calculate and validate benefits for life events per legislation.
- Produce and verify annual statements.
- Support the DB Operations team on plan rules and complex matters.
- Participate in quality control and audit processes.
- Review and analyze quotes, plan rules, and data for accuracy.
- Manage data uploads to onboard plan members.
- Suggest continuous process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- University degree in actuarial science or related field.
- Minimum 7 years experience in Defined Benefits or Group Retirement Services.
- Bilingual (French and English) for Quebec positions.
- Expertise in handling large data volumes using Microsoft Excel.
- Strong client-centric, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
