Role Overview: Technical Account Engineer

In this role, you will work on the cutting edge of cloud technology delivering a world-class technical experience. As a Trusted Customer Advisor, you will help customers maximize Sumo Logic's value by offering advanced training, complex problem-solving and strategic advice to bolster customer ROI.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical expertise through hands-on and consultative support.
  • Facilitate training and strategic adoption of advanced features.
  • Develop customized success plans and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor customer KPIs and suggest product roadmap improvements.
  • Engage with executives and conduct Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Analyze data to infer usage patterns and drive customer growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive SaaS experience with multiple customer accounts.
  • Customer-centric and strong relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication for both technical and executive meetings.
  • Adept in managing ambiguity and multiple accounts.
  • Familiarity with Cyber Security frameworks and secure DevOps lifecycle.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Sumo Logic or similar platforms (e.g., Splunk, Datadog).
  • Hands-on cloud services experience (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Proficiency in SQL or similar query languages.
  • Kubernetes expertise, including HELM, and familiarity with Otel, Prometheus, Falco.

Travel Requirements

Flexible travel once or twice a quarter (10-15%), including customer visits and corporate training sessions.
