Overview

Summit is seeking an experienced Cook to join our correctional division in Mount Vernon, WA. In this role, you will prepare high quality meals for a correctional facility, working in a structured and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality and portion control in meal preparation.
  • Ensure food is properly stored and safely handled.
  • Employ creative food presentation and scratch cooking techniques.
  • Operate various kitchen equipment and tools effectively.
  • Comply with safe food handling policies and recipes.

Requirements

Minimum one year of culinary experience in a high-volume, scratch cooking environment. Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards, and possess excellent attention to detail. Customer service experience is also required.

Additional Qualifications

Food handler certification is a plus.
