Make an impact that reaches healthcare professionals and patients around the world. In the role of Senior Technical Writer at Stryker, you will shape clear, compliant, and user‑friendly instructional content that supports the safe and effective use of innovative medical technologies.
What You Will Do
- Develop product instructions and customer‑facing documentation that is accurate, compliant, and translation‑ready.
- Plan, write, and deliver labeling content using technical publishing tools while managing project timelines.
- Drive labeling activities and ensure documentation meets medical device regulations and quality system requirements.
- Coordinate cross‑functional input from engineers, clinicians, and subject matter experts.
- Evaluate and improve documentation quality by interpreting procedures and applying topic‑based authoring strategies.
- Perform reviews including Labeling Specification, Verification, and Global Impact Assessment.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and escalate issues as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements, product transfers, and integration efforts; mentor junior writers.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communications, or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a regulated industry (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Experience with topic-based authoring or DITA.
- Familiarity with enterprise content management systems and product lifecycle management systems.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office tools.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary ranges from $66,500 to $132,300 plus bonus eligibility and benefits. Benefits include comprehensive health, financial, and wellness programs.
