About The Team
Stripe’s Fraud Risk Team works to minimize financial losses from fraud attacks. The Transaction Fraud Team builds and implements strategies to reduce risk while ensuring a healthy payment ecosystem and positive user experiences.
What You’ll Do
In the role of Transaction Fraud Strategist, you will prevent, detect, and mitigate transaction fraud. You will enable safer payments and help manage payment risks intelligently. Your responsibilities include:
- Monitoring portfolios and transactions to identify risky behavior.
- Collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations teams.
- Scaling risk processes and designing manual/repetitive workflow solutions.
- Educating Stripe users on potential risks and fraud prevention strategies.
- Challenging industry norms to enable innovative online businesses.
Who You Are
You bring 5+ years of experience, a strong passion for risk management, and excellent analytical skills. You are data-driven, decisive, and open to continuous learning. Strong communication and intermediate SQL skills are required, and familiarity with quantitative tools and payment environments is a plus.
Work Arrangement
This role is available in-office or as a remote position (35+ miles from a Stripe office). Office-assigned employees are expected to spend at least 50% of the time in the local office each month, while remote workers should be prepared to attend meetings and on-site events as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The annual US base salary range for this role is $110,500 - $165,800, with additional benefits potentially including equity, bonuses, a 401(k) plan, medical/dental/vision benefits, and wellness stipends.
