Job Description

Who We Are

About Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses, enabling millions of companies, from startups to large enterprises, to accept payments, grow revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, offering an unprecedented opportunity to contribute to the global economy while performing impactful career work.

About The Team

The People Solutions team at Stripe is a highly collaborative, cross-functional group focused on delivering key technical and process solutions for the People Team. We work closely with stakeholders across People, Finance, Corporate Technology, and Workplace, aiming to provide a world-class employee experience rooted in technology. Serving as internal consultants, we are nimble, flexible individuals who thrive in ambiguity and bring organization to chaos, always driven by strategy with an execution mindset.

What You'll Do as a Technical Program Manager, People Solutions

The Solutions team is responsible for the design, implementation, and enhancement of Stripe Employee Experience technology. In this role, you will apply innovative thinking and expertise in business process and technical systems to deliver digital solutions that improve employee, manager, candidate, and internal team experiences. Your responsibilities will span from strategic technical roadmapping, user interviews, requirements confirmation, and vendor evaluations to technical solution design, system design, data architecture consultation, and technical project management for the full software lifecycle. You will partner with various organizational stakeholders, including business stakeholders, process and policy owners, engineers, program managers, product managers, communications, legal, and internal subject matter experts. As a consultant and strategist, you will leverage your domain expertise in internal systems, technical fluency, agility, and excellent project management skills to advise leaders, guide projects, and design and deliver superior solutions, ensuring operational readiness for global scale.

  • Partner with diverse stakeholders to deeply understand their strategic priorities and the intended employee experience.
  • Develop multi-quarter roadmaps for technology stack changes and enhancements, ensuring ROI is understood for resource allocation.
  • Drive discovery, planning, and development of system solutions across our infrastructure to enable stakeholders to achieve their roadmaps.
  • Act as a product leader by understanding Stripe's employee needs to create exceptional experiences, including mock-ups for feedback.
  • Conduct third-party vendor analysis, providing build-or-buy recommendations based on industry expertise and ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, designers, systems analysts, and program managers to translate requirements into technical designs.
  • Present project content, facilitate working sessions, and communicate compelling product strategies aligned with business priorities and budgets.
  • Utilize data and storytelling to support decision-making, escalate risks, define ROI, and monitor solution adoption.
  • Leverage KPIs and user feedback to evaluate solutions and influence future roadmap priorities.

Who You Are

We encourage applications from candidates who meet the minimum requirements. Preferred qualifications are a bonus.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in product development, technical program management, internal systems design, HR, or Business Analysis.
  • AI/LLM fluency, including practical experience using LLM-based tools.
  • Experience working in high-growth and/or technology companies.
  • Ability to understand and map out system-agnostic business requirements and support their translation to technology.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience partnering with a broad set of cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working with complex, interconnected systems.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, dynamic, high-velocity situations.
  • Expertise in managing and drawing insights from data, navigating complexity, and building new processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a software engineering team or organization.
  • Basic understanding of core internal systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS, CRM, LMS, Ticketing, Finance systems).
