About The Team
Our Experimental Projects team serves as an in-house innovation lab, rapidly turning ideas into prototypes. We incubate and test new concepts with real users, sometimes going from idea to functional product in days.
What You’ll Do
As a Software Engineer on the Experimental Projects team, you will be at the forefront of innovation at Stripe. You will transform promising ideas into practical solutions by rapidly building prototypes and collaborating directly with users to iterate on your work.
- Identify opportunities and build prototypes quickly.
- Work across the entire technology stack.
- Engage with senior leaders to influence technical roadmaps.
- Champion technical solutions addressing high business ambiguity.
- Turn innovative ideas into tangible, robust solutions.
Responsibilities
- Operate with high autonomy to address complex user needs.
- Drive technical solutions that shape product roadmaps.
- Deliver prototypes and products rapidly from concept to launch.
- Represent engineering in discussions with senior leaders.
Who You Are
If you have at least 12 years of engineering experience with a strong record of building and shipping innovative products, you might be the perfect fit. Experience in rapid prototyping, leadership across multiple teams, and a passion for experimentation are crucial.
Preferred candidates are comfortable with ambiguity, thrive in fast-paced environments, and take pride in self-driven projects including open source contributions.
Work Arrangement & Compensation
This is a remote role at Stripe. While you can attend in-person meetings and events, regular work is expected to be done from home. The US base salary range is $246,600 - $369,800, along with additional benefits such as equity, bonuses, healthcare, and wellness stipends.
